Do I have to ride with my child?

It is generally required for a parent or carer to ride with their child. 
Every child should be riding with at least one parent/guardian, unless previous arrangements have been made with other parents.

Routes are planned by volunteers from NCM, making the best use of quieter roads and safe infrastructure and road crossing points.

What if I/my child am not an experienced rider?

Bike buses are designed for all levels. They typically ride at the speed of the slowest rider, often accompanied by experienced adult leaders at the front and back.

What if it rains or there is a bike breakdown?

Rides may still occur in light rain but will be cancelled in severe weather. In case of a flat tyre or mechanical, the group stops to assist.

Do I need a special bike?

No, but it is highly recommended to have a bike in good working order.

All riders need to be wearing a helmet.
