Summary of thoughts from our "Focus on Mayfield" rolling meeting
promote use of the laneway that had good surface and length (Clifford Lane) as a quietway parallel to Maitland Rd; painted stencils of bikes and walkers on the road near the entrance/exit of the laneway?
the bridges over all the drains could have painted sign on the walk surface, something like “Bikes give way to pedestrians” (where bikes and pedestrians are symbols). They are probably informally used by bikes - can they be formalised without a rebuild?
asphalt paving surface around the two close bridges - connecting them to each other and to the roads without needing to ride on grass
contrete entrance to bridge on Villiers St
need better traffic calming at southern end of Nelson St near the Scholey St shared path start/end; even plastic style curb extensions could be a big help, e.g. near Lord St
lantana eradication near footpath on Industrial Drive and over Selwyn St - I have already submitted an issue to CoN for this, at least path cleaning
add ramps to Rawson St filters so they are permeable to bikes, not just walkers
bigger project - make the path next to Throsby Creek to link from Woolworths to Silsoe St
bigger project - modal filter on Braye St near Rawson St

Great summary. I mentioned the ramps on rawson in my draft budget reply and the path to the bridges
